I canceled a 1 that I got my sophomore year, and I'm wondering how that will affect my designation as an AP scholar. For instance, to be a National AP Scholar I need score of 4 or higher on 8 or more exams and an average on "all exams taken" of at least 4.

Would they still count the canceled score? Would they count it as a zero? Or would they ignore it because it has been "permanently removed from my records"?

You can't cancel a score you already know the score for. If you're assuming you got a 1 and cancelled sometime in late May, then you probably don't have to worry.

are u serious.. I thought u can cancel a score if u saw u got a bad grade?

I think all you did was withheld the grade in any further reports sent. The grade still exists on your record; it's just that no one can see it. A college, for example, won't see that you got a 1 on an AP exam on that grade report, but it still exists. Basically, you can't cancel an AP exam that's already been scored.

Ok that's good then.. lol I won't get a 1 this is just for future reasons if I fail an AP test (2)

True. Your cancelation of scores is only for those that have not yet been scored. The others are just a withholding of the result from being sent to colleges by ETS. Sorry but your 1 is still counted in the ETSs AP Scholar award program regardless of whether you actually cancelled it after grading.
