Oh come on... how did no one know what that word mean in 2A. :(.

lol i dk.. i figured it out but ironically i didnt know how to explain it anyways

so y exactly do we have to wait 48 hours?

Thank God we kind of went over 2a in class. I definitely BSed my answer, but think I included a bunch of necessary terms. I thought I did pretty good on that one actually, unlike 4. Ick.

...............werd

so who came up with the most creative answer for 4C ????
that q was really very open ended

i officially wish i had saved myself the money now... but i learned a lot

for number 2, practically EVERYONE in my school who took the exam didn't even recognize the word, hhahahaha. then because of deductive reasoning they finally figured out what the word meant, but alas...they didn't know how to explain it, and so everyone just rambled about something that was remotely related to the topic. so i think everyone might have gotten at least a point on that one.

PEOPLE: "really late Tuesday night" does not equal "48 hours after a Monday morning exam". I think you all can probably add. Wait until noon Wednesday to talk about specifics.

we can discuss now

Wow the anticipation is tremendous...

time to talk now?

Yep, I think we can go for it.

So, someone, please, please...explain 4a to me. I'm clueless.

whats this 2A word no one knew?

cepha something? i have no fricken clue..
but what did you guys put for 4b and 4c???

Cephalization? The evolutionary process by which animals develop sensory organs in the head region.

Unfortunately, I didn't think of that during the test. :D

4a. Divide the circle into sections of 7 units and 3 units by making 2 marks. I'm going to say the circle is 10 units instead of 100 to make it easier. Label this the first restriction enzyme cut. This is because the first restriction enzyme pieces were 30 and 70 units according to the electrophoresis spread. Then look at THE COMBINED cuts and you will see the enzyme has been cut into 40-30-20-10. Divide the 7 section into pieces of 4 and 3 and the 3 section into pieces and 2 and 1 by making 2 cuts. Make sure your 4 piece is next to the 2 piece and 3 next to the 1 as the Second restriction enzyme only will cut it into 40 and 60. 3+4=7 2+1=3 4+2=6 3+1=4. thats about it.

4c...I wrote that terrorists could possibly plot a biological attack by inserting genes that are antibiotic resistance. This is probably a terrible answer, somehow i thought of rainbow six and wrote this.

For 4A i think you were supposed to graph the distances between the cuts made by the two restriction enzymes around the circle...

ha nevermind I posted too late :D

its kinda confusing to explain without actually having a circle to draw on.
