I'm going into sophomore year and was wondering if I should take AP Bio or Chem Honors. I took Biology Honors this year and really enjoyed it/think I would like AP Bio. What looks better/what's a more fulfilling class?

Definitely go for AP Bio as a sophomore, I took Pre-AP bio and Prep Chem at the same time. Then as a junior I took AP Bio and AP Physics C (which I do not recommend anyone jumping into). Then this year, as a senior, I’ll be taking AP Chem!
I personally am a bio kid, so I enjoyed the class a lot. Both look equally good! Just go for the class you think you’ll enjoy the most and take the other one next year.

Hey! Thanks so much! How was Physics C? Should I wait until I’m in calc to take it?

You’re welcome!
AP C was torture. This is coming from the girl that took the class without any pre-cal or cal or general physics knowlege. Not my best impulsive move. I took it concurrently with AB cal first semester and BC cal second semester. There isn’t TOO much calculus involved, and my professor went over the basics of cal the first week or two, BUT I personally would recommend waiting until taking AB Cal (or Cal I) first.

I’m pretty sure it’s highly recommended to take Honors Chem before AP Bio

Since you’re only a rising sophomore, I’m assuming you have time to take classes you want to take. I’d suggest taking Chemistry before AP Bio because for some schools it’s a prerequisite and/or highly recommended and because you have time.

I strongly suggest taking AP Bio now since you just finished taking Bio last year. The information is fresh in your mind and the class would be considerably easy. While taking AP Bio try taking a pre Chem course to get ready for AP Chem. My school usually requires people to take the honors version of a class before the ap version and it truly helps.

I took AP Physics C this year (senior year) after taking the honors version and precalc the year before. I was coenrolled in AP Calc BC and honestly having a good basis in Calc is a must for AP Physics C. This course is usually taken with experience in precalc and some experience with calc.

I found that subjects in AP Biology were easier because I took chemistry first.

Chemistry is often required for high school graduation and college admission.
