i took ap bio hoping it would be a good class but my teacher basically is worthless and we've done nothing at all this year and i'm pretty much convinced i'm going to fail this test tomorrow even though i studied on my own.

you only need a 33% to pass, come on you can manage that.

heh... i'm in the same boat... i'm aiming for a lovely dos

Were are people making up these random numbers? It's definitely not 33% unless you meant a 3.

Oh trust me, I'll fail before you (or worse than you as the case may be). It's not that we didn't learn anything, but I am horrible at understanding really in-depth concepts. I can generalize like there's no tomorrow, but I mean, seriously, how on Earth am I supposed to be able to recall things about the Drosophilia lab we did when we didn't even finish it?

Edit: I actually heard that you have to get 70%. Maybe I'm going insane though.

70% to get a three?!

afruff23, My AP Bio teacher is an AP Bio essay grader and she said that after grading both portions you only need a 33% to pass.

What does passing mean? 3? 4? 5?

33%=3
45%=4
57%=5

hopefully the curve will be very generous lol, though from what i see here, a 45% doesn't seem toooo impossible. then again i don't exactly know what i'm talking about LOL.

I was pretty nervous after I took my practice test and looked at my final score but I'm actually not too worried now.

I'm aiming for a 4 because I know I won't get a 5 with the crappy teaching I had all year.

I did like 86 questions, and only got 43 right and assuming I got at least a 5/10 on every essay I ended up with a final score of 54 which is a 3. Terrible I know, but it's nice to know I at least passed with doing that horrible.

On the real test I'm gonna skip like 20.

HAHA, so not ready! Going to cram as much as possible before 11 PM.

Best of luck to all of you!

is anyone staying up?

I Am! :D :D :D

I thought 66%=5?

Lol, I'm aiming for a 5, hoping that the FRQs are easy enough. I studied too much for this AP test (in comparison to do others) to horrible on it. >:[

Ah, I am probably going to fail.
The FRQ's in my prepbook seem way too easy for my own good...

I have the cliffnotes book, but the scoring is so confusing? It says soemthign about 150 points but I only see 120 for the mc and 40 for the frqs. Can someone explain this to me lol? (Also anyone know the scenarios of how many mc and frq points you need to get a 3? Like if you get 0 pts for the frqs but all the mcs right what score can you get?) I know this is a ridiculous question, btu if anyoen knows that would be great lol!

Yeah, I'm staying up all night. I still have the 5 Kingdoms/phylum, animal structure and function (almost done this one), animal reproduction and behavior, and all the labs (I never did any of them- I homeschooled AP Bio). I know nothing about these things, and I only have 6 hours to learn them all and still have time to review my notecards I've been making. I have the worst memory ever. Bio was a bad choice for me. I really want a 4, I have been working so hard. I don't know where I stand yet though, I haven't taken a practice since I started studying.

eeemillee, various methods have been floating around the board, but I don't really know what's right or not. I do believe that if you get all the MC right and a zero on the free responses, you will still get a good score (3 or above).
