Sponge Extra? Sea anemone intra?

Master, yes and no.

Hydra carry out intracellular digestion after extracellular digestion in the gastrovascular cavity. Hydra works

I thought that the Sponge was intra? because I put it as extra came home, googled it…saw intra

I have a question, on the test booklet there was a four letter code in the right hand corner that had to be put on the answer document for example:
ACBG
20

Was I supposed to put that 20 on there or was it seperate from it?

are you sure?! **** yes!!
would it have been right to explain how phagocytosis works (but not name it cause i forgot :/) and then say they use glycolysis and then fermentation?

Would paramecium be an appropriate example of an organism that fits the characteristics of question 2a-1?

Note, in no way does my question suggest what the question was asking. Just saying.

i hate prezygotic barriers…

@Jarvis I remember that, you weren’t supposed to put the 20. Besides, there wasn’t even space for the 20?

Ronaldofan94 - I am fairly certain that paramecium would, in fact, fall into that category.

Earthworms, as I answered, would not :/

Continuing with this hypothetical line of thought:

I quote Campbell’s Biology 7th ed:
"Sponges are unusual among animals in that they digest their food entirely be intracellular mechanism. "
It then directs you to a figure about sponges and shows how all digestion is intracellular and occurs as choanocytes beat their flagella to bring in food and then digest it through phagocytosis.

Just to clarify, [Answers.com - What is the difference between intracellular and extracellular digestion](<a href=“Answers - The Most Trusted Place for Answering Life's Questions”>What is the difference between intracellular and extracellular digestion? - Answers)
Sponges do not count as extracellular

There was a line beside the letters on the answer document but the proctor said to put B if we had test form B and to leave it blank no B was there but I was unsure if the 20 underneath the letters could be put in as well.

@those who clarified intracellular and extra

WELL, there goes my 3. gahh. I hate blaming teachers, but I’m just going to blame mine to make me feel less dumb. TEACHER CURNT TEACH WORF A ■■■…damn sponges.

The prezygotic barriers are the following:

Temporal isolation

Behavioral isolation

Geographical isolation

Mechanical isolation

Gametic isolation

*Note: In no way does discussing prezygotic barriers reveal the specific contents of any FRQ.

jellyfish show both if you google it… either way ididn’t describe it right

Hahahah you guys are hilarious. Rather than talking about the exam, I’m just reading this thread instead =)

What if for a question you described a process, but didn’t actually name it? (like someone was asking about phagocytosis before…although mine doesnt relate to taht)

Lmao, Ronaldofan…the college board police aren’t going to go over to your residence and eat you for dinner…
And I got prezygotic correct…But I put Sponge for extracellular and Amoeba for intracellular…I got half right. Good enough for a high 4 or possibly 5.

I’d rather take necessary precautions. College Board is secretly an organization made up of assassins.
