***AP Biology 2015 Thread***

Thanks for good discussion everyone. I’m disappointed that the FRQ seemed so difficult to me (and to everyone else in the room taking it with me); however, I’m glad to see that I’m not alone. I think that the cutoff for making a 5 this year will be lowered at least by one percentage point. FYI, the curves for the exam are pre-established, so they do not depend on how we perform on this year’s exam. Also, if anyone finds a scoring worksheet for the revised exam, PLEASE upload a link here. I think we all want to know how we fare.

In actuality, there’s not certainty to how we performed and how that will translate into a converted score. Nobody knows how international students performed, how the test varied across forms, etc. Taking into account all of these factors, I think the scoring will be slightly more lenient. Correct me if I’m wrong…

Only thing I remember from Bio last year :
Instead of saying feel the burn , you could say feel the lactate
I’m sure you all did great on the exam .

I still remember the new smell of the exam pervading the room after opening the shrink wrap!!

There are scoring worksheets that go with the 2013 and 2014 practice exams that have been posted about before. Is that what you’re looking for, @parisbarca77?

The exam was reasonable. Nothing unexpected

yes, @janelleo

I agree with andyis. I could have practiced more free response questions and paced myself better on that section, but other than that I think I did fine. I’m hoping for a 5, but I wouldn’t be too surprised with a 4 (maybe only a little sad).

Objectively, MCQs were okay, FRQs were okay. Nothing really ridiculous on them- I just feel unconfident because I didn’t know my stuff. The only thing out of the blue was the fact that there were no statistics/real math on there anywhere…

Hoping for a 4.

You know, to be completely honest with you, the multiple choice was extremely easy and pretty much everyone in my class agrees. The grid ins were unbelievably easy, and so were the free responses. It was the easiest AP exam I’ve ever taken and it was also the first. I’m still shocked at how ridiculously easy it was.

For me, I think the only problem was the time. Nothing on the test was shocking or outrageously difficult in terms of content, but there was a bit of a time strain

I feel like I panicked because it was my first ap, and I didn’t pace myself well. If I think about it, the mcq material was’t bad, and yes, the math was SO easy. But I ended up rushing because there were so many long questions. Sigh.

Do you know where I can find them? @janelleo

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You’ll find downloads for the 2013 and 2014 exams, which have scoring worksheets on the second to last page.

You guys will all be fine. I’m sure all of us passed the exam. It’s already over, so let’s not worry about it anymore c:

Honestly don’t know what to think.

I have the same feelings as everyone else. The MC was relatively easy, while the FRQ was pure torture. There wasn’t enough time for the FRQ.

@AnniiT Haha! I still have to stress for two more APs. Fortunately, one of them is Statistics which is really easy. The other one is World History… and I suck at it. However, after Thursday, I should be able to relax.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was crunched for time on the FRQs. The format for this exam reminded me a lot of the new APUSH exam.

Am I the only one who’s the complete opposite? I actually had time left for FRQ but I ended up guessing some MCQ.

i thought the mc was okay-ish (still flopped) and the frq slaughtered me. that was so rough wow.
