My mc was ok. I felt rushed, and I didn’t have time to check my work. Do they really drop ten questions? That’s FANTASTIC.
I actually thought the FRQ went pretty well. I’m good at writing under pressure. And I got a good batch of questions.
Overall, I think it was harder compared to previous years. Anyone else think so too?
@pockysticks I agree completely.
Does anyone think I can get a 5 if I got 60/69 on MC and 29/41 on frq?? This is just based on the number of points available on the test before dropping questions, multiplying by weight factors, etc.
Everyone said MC was way easier and FRQ was “okay.” I personally found the MC challenging because I was time constrained (Slow reader QQ) – well it was “okay,” but not “easy” and the FRQ was okay for me too. I thought I did better on the FRQ than the MC though.
I think a 60/69 should put you at the least a high 4 but then again im not collegeboard. Do they really drop questions?
The multiple choice was for the most part easy. I aggressively guessed around 15 of the questions. For the long FQRs, I really only did well on half of one of them. I did NOT understand what they wanted for the most part. I liked three of the short responses, hated two of them, and I can’t even remember what the remaining one was about. I probably would have done better if I had an extra 15 minutes on the MC and 30 minutes for the FRQs.
@parisbarca77 I don’t know how you got those numbers, guessing? lol. But it comes out to a total of a 78.84%. Last year around a 76.66% was a 5. So if they use similar curving, you should get a 5.
@parisbarca77 That’s a borderline 4/5 based on last year’s curve. It all depends on this year’s curve. No one knows for sure. I personally felt that this year’s test, especially free response questions 1, was harder than last year’s test, so that might actually get you a 5. You’ll just have to wait and see until July.
@QueenN22 Where did you hear that?
@CollageWhat Someone posted it on here. To me that just seems like a waste of time unless a question was really out of the blue
Thanks @ChemFire085 and @CollageWhat ; btw, I’m going off of how many questions I was uncertain about on the MC, and how many FRQ points I think I lost. There’s no guarantee here; I could have done worse.
Does anyone know when we recieve our free response scores? Someone told me we recieve them 2 days after the exam…
Well I guess my predictions on the FRQ were correct haha
@hopingfor5 we recieve our scores in july, the frq questions goes up on collegeboard in two days
@17isands
We’re discussing them dropping 10 questions on the official practice exam, not the real exam.
If we did well on the MC, how well would we have to have done on the essays to get a 5?
@saarahg1 65% is a 3. 80% is a 5
I just wanted to start a thread talking about how the AP test went this year. Unfortunately, I was really stupid and left about 8 multiple choice questions blank because I spent too much time on one or two questions(stupid, I know, I know). However, I did manage to complete the entire FRQ. Is it still possible to get a 4?
@cy1999 If you did well on frqs then most likely yes
