Anyone have access to the official College Board practice test? I have heard that CB made a practice test for the new format, but I do not know anyone who has it/knows where to find it. Thanks guys, good luck studying!

Scroll to page 132. You’ll find it. Look for " simple multiple choice "

@ivykid96 thanks… I also heard that there was a full AP sample exam though, released only to Bio teachers. Can anyone confirm that?

Yes I can confirm this. However, I do not have the test.

Yes, I took the test earlier this week. It was fairly difficult. A word of advice, manage your time on Monday for the MC. The earlier questions are easier and shorter. You will feel as if you have plenty of time, but as the test progresses the questions get longer and more difficult. Some questions at the end are an entire page for just one question. Consider skipping these long questions and doing the 6 grid-in questions first, then coming back to the long and difficult ones. The grid-in questions take a little time, but they are much easier than the long MC questions at the end.

Yeah my Bio teacher had us take it over the course of 2 periods (total of 90 minutes). It wasn’t too difficult, but thats because I was in the zone. Every question is AT LEAST a paragraph long, some almost an entire page of just pure text. IMO theres just as much reading, if not more, than the English Comp. exam. The key is to maintain focus and actually grasp what the question is asking and not skipping any little details that could change the whole dynamic of the question.

For those of you who’ve taken the MC and grid-in sections of the practice test, how many points did you get? Since there’s no released test to compare my scores to I have no idea what type of score I should expect. My MC was 48/63 and grid-in was 4/6.

I got 46 on MCQ, and 3 for grid in. How should i study?

Anyone know what are the bare minimum scores for MC and FRQ to get a 5?

We don’t know how much is a 5 because CB would probably need to see how well we do first :/

I got 54 on the MC and 3 for grid-in, but I’m still pretty paranoid about this exam…

54 MC is definitely a 5 assuming you don’t completely bomb the free response.

Really?

Our biology teacher just told us to aim for ~90%…

Well you should really aim for 100% haha. But it’s defintely not 90%. On past tests you could get around 65-70% on the multiple choice and still be in the running for a 5. I don’t know if that’ll be the case this year but it’s not going to be anywhere close to 90%. No AP test has such a harsh curve.
