Ease of Sample Mult Choice on College Board?

So here's the deal. The only Bio course I've taken is Advanced Bio 1 (no AP or bio electives, etc). I studied for the Subject Test about 3-4 months ago and got a 770 (though I studied enough to get an 800 but I made some dumb mistakes). I plan to take AP Bio because I feel I've accumulated a pretty large amount of information from studying for the subject test.

I went and did CB's 45 Sample MC's on their site and got 40/45 in fairly easy fashion. I've yet to start studying for AP Bio and I haven't TOUCHED the subject of biology for 3-4 months.

Thus, that fairly good score leads me to 2 possible conclusions:
1) AP Bio is actually fairly easy
or, what I really think, 2) CB puts the easier questions as sample questions in order to entice kids to take the AP test (this seems plausible).

Does anyone else support this theory? What can you people who have taken AP bio say about the difficulty of the sample questions VS the difficulty of the questions on the actual test? Does this pattern run through all of CB's sample questions for each AP test? Are they all easier than the actual test?

I have no concrete evidence on this topic, but am very, very curious as to the responses you get. I've been looking at the questions for the AP tests I'm currently studying for (all humanities, social sciences), and was also surprised by the seemingly easy level of the CB questions.

I hope others have experience?
