I am in a similar dilema. Are the cliffnotes tests REALLY easy or do people just brag?

cliffnotes aren’t easy…i keep doing bad on em…

Hey guys i just wanted to Ask a few questions about the AP
The exam is 2moro and i am kind of freaking out.
Im using Barrons and i reached till ch11 i have til like 17
I just wanted to ask:
1-
a) Should i focus on the molecular basis on inheritance? Like the DNA replication, translation, transcription, etc? Or is it not important?
b)Do they get alot of Evolution questions?
c)I heard alot of "Plants’ will come in the AP…is it true?
d)Animal Physiology? do we concentrate on it?
e)How about the Immune system?
And finally…f) I jusy started studying yesterday for it…casue i had my finals last week and i didnt have time.Should be freaking out? =p
And hw many pastpapers do u thnk i shoudl solve?
Thank youu =)

Plants will definitely be on there quite often.
You should know basic animal physiology and focus on muscle contraction, eyes, and major systems including the digestion, nervous, and immune systems.

Lol I just started yesterday for it, chill! We’ll be fine.

K thanks! I just really hope we’ll be fine.
And one more thing.What’s a 4 and a 3 in percentage?

I have a question

Has their ever been a frq on the history of bio? like about scientists and their accomplishments or something? i took a barron’s practice test and their was one, i didn’t know what to do…

There was one once (we had it on a test in class) that gave like, one or two points for discussing any famous experiment that helped give the current model for DNA. But no, it’s really doubtful that they’d do that. The essays have to cover four certain topics, and general history hasn’t ever been on there, that I know of.

nice! in that case, studying can wait :P

cliffnotes for bio = GOD

I saw a practice question like that where you had to “describe each classical experiment and indicate how it provided evidence for the chemical nature of the gene”
a) Hershey and Chase - bacteriophage replication
b) Griffith and Avery, MacLeod and McCarty - bacterial transformation
c) Meselson and Stahl - DNA replication in bacteria

I hope nothing like that will be on there… I did see a mult choice question about Meselson and Stahl though.

hi guys, how well should i know the 12 ap labs?
soo nervous about this test >.<…

So far I have learned plants and cellular respiration pretty well. I still have a long ways to go though.

My only issue is that the Princeton Review book only has a few sentences on each lab, like general concepts…and ive heard you need to know the labs pretty well…

I wish it wasn’t mothers day, i have to go out to eat with my family, which will take a while!

Well, took the test today and…ha, most of what I studied for was not on the test. I didn’t pay attention in class this year (senioritis) and I’ve been using 5 steps to a 5 since spring break. I guess I over studied, but I didn’t too well as I thought I was going to do (was expecting a five). I’m realistically thinking I got 65 questions right, but I guess the worst is 60 questions right. The essays though I did really well, I know I got an average of 7 points an essay, the only points missing on part of a question I got wrong and maybe a few elaboration points. I hope this nets me a 5, but I’ll see in July.

How’d everyone else do? Most of the kids in my school (80?) thought it was hard. Most kids just quit at the essay, and a good amount felt the MC was tough, while others felt it was really easy, but that the essay was hard.

Will getting 60 questions right on mc and doing fairly decent on the frq be enough to earn me a 4 possibily?

100th post!! YAY!! Lol sorry…being weird there…

Sorry to bump this up again…but seeing as how the curves you guys were stating were used on the 120 question scale instead of the current 100 question scale…What would approximately be the curve for the current test? Close to around 92 like the 2002 test which used the 120 scale? Would it still be around 60%? Please help…I need to know if I got a 5 or not.

bump@!!#%@

PR is good, better than barrons cause like barrons is way too in-depth and wastes your time really, but cliffs be der best

This thread is from years ago… Please don’t post on it. Can we close this thread?
