AP Biology entrance problem? Advice? Please read!

Hi, sorry it's long, but I really need some advice! Please read!

I'm currently a sophomore going through a course selection process for my junior year. When I entered high school, I took chemistry, as AP Bio at that time did not require biology. By the end of my freshman year, they changed the requirements and now require biology. I couldn't take biology during the summer due to conflicts, and so I pushed away the problem and went with AP Physics for my sophomore year.

Now, I'm going to take biology over the summer, and attempt to get in to AP Biology. I thought it would be painless, but some problems arose. All of the students who meet the pre-requisites get entry first, and I have to be put in a different science at the beginning of the next school year, because I won't have the biology pre-requisite fulfilled until the end of summer. Then, at the beginning of the school year, I can request a schedule change, but the counselors say that space is limited and it's unlikely that I will be able to get in.

What do you suggest I do? I really want to take AP Biology, and not a third year of a physical science.

Bump! Please

Deal with it and do the summer Bio program. It’s better than nothing, and at least you have a possibility of getting in.
I think it’s so stupid how some schools require CP or Honors Bio before AP Bio. My school doesn’t require that and all sophomores in the honors program automatically get AP Bio. It’s either Bio CP or AP Bio your sophomore year.

yeah i’ll definitely do a regular bio class over the summer no matter what. it just bothers me knowing that i may not be able to take AP bio next year and i really want to secure a place in the class
