***AP Biology Thread 2015-2016***

same^ the final part of that specific frq was the only one i couldnt get to tho

I had form e and the mc was so weird. There was a question where all the answers weren’t reasonable so I just picked the least unreasonable one. There was another with 2 answer choices that literally meant the exact same thing so I chose the more elaborate one haha. FRQ was easy though. I only yolo’d one question because our teacher never taught us anything about it but I had time to check over everything so -2 max on FRQ. MC max -5 I hope.

The mice questions on MC were strange…I really didn’t get that experiment. But everything else seemed pretty general, except that one weird cladogram question that had no correct answer really

what’d you get

I got 2 phenotypes and 3:1

we aren’t supposed to disclose it I think

Did anyone get the weird plant graph question on FRQ? Was the source of energy supposed to be nutrients in soil?

@holycrayon Why do 10 questions not count? How do they decide what counts and what doesn’t?

saying 4:4:4:4 is the same thing right?

4:4:4:4 is the same thing yeah.

@apstressesme only thing i could reason out given the info was the nutrients in the soil. We can’t make assumptions really so we came up with an answer based off the given information.

@karuser126 Not completely sure why, but College Board just chooses 10 questions to not count. Maybe for experimental purposes?

Plant FRQ? Anyone?

thanks. a stupid question but had to be asked hahaha. did anyone else get 9:3::3:1 for 2nd part? was completely a guess for me. remembered this ratio for some cross but didn’t know if it actually applied to this.

@apstressesme Whoops I think I said sunlight because I had no idea. Usually the AP Bio scoring guidelines accept a pretty wide variety of answer though, so hopefully many answers work :stuck_out_tongue:

@BOBROSS ok cool same. It was waayy too vague in my opinion, one of the more poorly worded questions.

@holycrayon nah there weren’t any leaves yet so there wouldn’t be any way to photosynthesize, as far as I gathered from the given info.

@shiftydraw that’s a dihybrid cross, which wasn’t what the problem involved.

same, i assumed that they were looking for photosynthesis so i put sunlight, likely to be wrong though. makes more sense as there were no leaves. you guys get 50% for that one?

@apstressesme Ohh okay. Hopefully that’s only worth 1 point :stuck_out_tongue:

Does anyone remember what they put for the function of the lac94 allele.

@holycrayon yeah, 10 of them are experimental. pretty sure chem does that too
