I am pretty good at math and considering taking calc but which one. Should I take AB and self study BC or take BC and review AB during the summer?

Take BC, all of AB is included in the curriculum.

If you have the chance, take both. If you only have one year, take BC.

taking both isn't a good idea. Like "war chant", all of AB is included in BC's curriculum.

So, take BC...but there's no need to review AB over the summer.

Taking a full-year course in AB would probably feel like wasted potential. I say definitely go for BC: like others have mentioned, the "B" part is the same. I heard that A stands for pre-cal, B stands for first semester calculus, and C stands for second semester calculus. If you're strong at math and know you pre-cal (this doesn't mean memorizing all your identities or anything, just having a firm grasp on all the trig concepts), definitely go for BC. You don't even need to review AB over the summer, though of course it's always a good idea :).

(I self-studied AB and regretted not doing BC.)

Calc BC. Enough said...

"taking both isn't a good idea."

Considering it's what I did, I disagree with you. I covered the same material in twice the length at the same rate of study - I know calculus more in depth than the people I know who took only BC.
