yea i definitely also got the open interval from -1 to 1... neither worked as endpoints when i applied the tests

(-1,1) here

did we have to test the endpoints?

wait, I thought that:

(n+1)^2/((n(n+2)) > (n+2)^2/((n+1)(n+3))

4/3 > 9/8

Are you sure that it doesn't converge?

Dude, you can just use the ratio test to establish convergence at endpoints as well. If you plug in 1 and -1, you'll find that you get finite answers >= 1. Therefore, the endpoints do not converge. And at 1, though it is an alternating series, if you look closely, the lim(n->inf)An = 1, which means that it diverges by the alternating series test. -1 diverges because it's all positive and continually increasing to a horizontal asymptote of 1.

Who actually got Form B for the Free Response? It looks like everyone on here got Form A, as did my whole class. What do they use Form B for?

I think they use form B for people who have to make up the test?

(-1, 1) here too... you can just use the n-term test to see that as n approaches infinity the end points don't approach 0.

how do you guys think the points will work for #6?

probaly 5 points for part a:
1 interval
1 divergent at -1
1 reason
1 divergent at 1
1 reason

b: 4 points
1 f'(0)
1 f''(0)
1 maximum
1 reason

You sure it was a max?

i vaguely remember that it's max...

well, y''(0) = 4/3 - 2/4! = 4/3 - 1/12 = 16/12 - 1/12 = 15/12 > 0, which indicates that it's a relative min.

ooo then it's probably min lol

i dont think they will have 4 points alone dedicated to the endpoints.
maybe 2 points. probably some points given for ratio test and finding the interval.

form B tests aren't the tests taken at the delayed testing/make-up test date, but rather from people in various international regions across the world...

The answers are out at http://users.adelphia.net/~sismondo/AP2006.html. There are some mistakes, though.

is there a chance for me to get a five if i get a 33 on MC and around 40 on FR?!?!?!?!?!??! i'm so scared i messed up on mc MC WAS HARD

i got every answer right except for 3b and 3d. mc was a little tricky tho

prometheus....what mistakes did he make???
