Ya, but 10.37047 both rounds and truncates to 10.370... Stupid me...

On #2a, they specifically asked you to round to the nearest whole number.

can anyone provide links to the problems, but solved? I didn't write out my work on the green insert that we get back.

@goodusername I don't think it matters if we round to the nearest gallon. CB said that they won't take off points for too many decimal places.

They will be here: http://users.adelphia.net/~alcosser/ap2007solutions.html
in a few days.

alright I appreciate it; I'll keep that site in favorites or something.

You know the curve is probably around (at most) 65/108 for a five, so suppose you got only 27 right for the FRQ, that means...

65 - 27 = 42
42/1.2 = 35
45 - 35 = 10
10*4/5 = 8

So even with HALF of the FRQ wrong, you only need a 37/45 right to get a five. I think that is more than reasonable. Don't fret on the FRQ, even two entire questions wrong on the free-response still needs about 13-14 wrong on the MCQ to get a four.

Even if you did the R area wrongly, they will still give you credit (some) for the formulas, maybe 1 - 2 points. It's pretty hard to get the entire question wrong.

What happens if I didn't do the substitution on #4 to get the numerical value of the C, constant of integration? I rushed the FRQs and forgot to find the constant after antidifferentiation. My indefinite integral is right though.

I think I may have gotten everything on FRQ except for the polar area, that constant, and the limit in number 6.

Is the AIM chatroom for AP Calc BC already defunct? If so, would anyone else be interested in reviving it, especially now that the FR questions are available?

Ugh, I never preferred the MC section until last Wednesday...

...Assuming that I scored 39-44ish on the MC (omitting none), what would I need on the FR to score a 5? According to my teacher, the cutoff is usually around 65%, but I'm hoping for a more generous curve this year!

I think that my solutions to #1a, #1b, #2a, #2b, #4, and #5a-c are all correct, but the others leave much to be desired. Specifically, I multiplied my integral expression in #1c by pi/2 rather than pi/8. Also, I wrote a bunch of garbage for #2c and #3 (although I might get some partial credit), and I didn't have enough time to solve #6. Fortunately, I managed to scribble down the MacLaurin series for e^x, as well as the LaGrange error bound theorem for alternating series in part d. Should I expect any credit for those traumatizing questions?

Well, I'd appreciate any feedback, whether positive or negative!

edit: never mind. I misread the question the second time.
I just can't seem to catch a break...

My solutions for 1, 3, 4, and 6.

I had NO idea at all how to do polar-our teacher didnt even bother with it because she said its rarely on the ap test - i think we had it on one test, but i just skipped it and called it a buffer question.

I thought the opposite of all my friends - I actually thought that the noncalculator mc was easier than the calc one - I skipped 1 on nc and 5 on c.
And I'm not quite sure how I did on the free response as a whole - I didn't get to go over a lot of things beforehand because I took both Spanish and Stat on Tuesday, and was braindead when I got home. I only need a three though for UT, I just wanted to do better so DS didn't think I was a complete idiot.

ugh...i hope i can still get a 5...
1) i read the question wrong and didn't realize the graph was in the first and 2nd quadrants, so i only did the first quadrant. All my answers are half the correct answers...
2)Uhh i got the answers right, but not sure if I had good enough justifications
3)did the area wrong...stupid mistake, but i think i got the rest.
4)I probably got this one
5)Should've gotten most of the points
6)Ugh...i was stupid on this problem. hopefully got like 2 -3 points.

don't know about mc...maybe i missed 10, but not sure.

does anyone know any past "how much you need to get this score" dealies? I apologize for my lack of vocabulary and bad grammar.

there are two absolutely brilliant kids in my class, one is going to mit, one to johns hopkins conservatory, and one was saying he got around a 97 and the other was ed, like saying he only got a 90. lol *

man i messed up so badly
1. I think I got all right
2. I think I got all right, but not sure if I justified it well
3. I got B, and C-->I think I said slowing down instead of speeding up for y component...don't know what I was thinking. Skipped A completely
4. Got everything right...except integration. Retarded, I did rapid integration right, but answer looked funny...don't ask because I didn't review this and I learned it a while ago so made up some ridiculous answer. Very ****ed right now.
5. I pretty much bsed this one, but I think I got most of it right...so let's just say I "skipped one part" is how many points I missed for this
6. Ok. TALK ABOUT BLANKING OUT
i wrote out the general for e^x right?
Then I was like...wait, but it's 1/e^x...(this is why I need more sleep)
so then I think about this for forever. And finally figure out with 30 seconds before the time is up. I scribble as much as I can for a so i think I got that. COMPLETELY skipped b,c,d. LKDSJFKL SCREWED

for MC, I skipped maybe 2-3 questions, and I might have missed 3-4
is there hope for a 4?
someone advise please.

Lol, yeah we have some geniouses at my school too. One was like yeah the test was cool because I actually had to think a little bit...LOL (he's going to Harvard-Figures)

Oh and peach don't worry so much man, the curve is always generous on any AP test, everyone is confused/tired/nervous. I blanked out a couple times too on chem last year and still pulled a 5. Just don't get all hyped up after the test, theres nothing you can do anyway

I probably skipped/couldn't do one sub-question per free response problem on last year's test, and I still got a 5. (I faced quite a bit of difficulty with one of the MC sets, too.)

Despite the potential stereotypical repercussions of saying the following, I still shall.. CHILLAX!

^haha wow, that must have been a big curve
but I did look at the 2006 test and it was pretty difficult too (FR)

That integral isn't too hard. Didn't you just run out of time?
