Ok, for 6a...if I wrote everything but the general term, will I get a point you think?

Or do you think the first four terms plus the general tern were both combined into a single point?

About the first problem:

I did the exact same thing too. We all just read "bounded... below by the horizontal line y=2" as "bounded... below the horizontal line y=2" - note the lack of by. Maybe if I had done a few more practice tests, I would have realized that AB kids get the first question too, and they don't have to learn improper integrals. Well, maybe CB will be sympathetic and give partial credit for a consistently wrong answer, hahaha... not keeping my hopes up, but hoping the strong MC is enough for a 5.

on 3a, I did everything correctly but then forgot to square r

on 6b, i used f triple prime from the taylor instead of f quadruple because I couldn't read my little apostrophes that i use to keep track of number of primes.

I aced AB. Then got maybe... 2/9 on the last question and ... missed the first part of the polar.

GAH. I'm expecting a 3BC/5AB

Horror story: I realized after the 1st MC that I don't know anything about Calculus. At all.

i realize now that i screwed up on a few parts of the free response questions. esp. number 6 i just forgot to integrate one term in the taylor series so i screwed up my answer. but i think i got pretty much every one right for the M.C. or close to it so i should still get a 5

All FR answers are listed here for BC people:

Post here how you did ;)

uhhh this isn't about AP calc. but its a funny/horror story on APbio.

so you know how they have special pages marked for each FRQ?
so they provided a LOT of pages for each FRQ, and thanks to my inability to abandon unused pages, i wrote my entire FR2 on the pages provided for FR1. so i freaked out and called over the proctor, and she winced and told me to write in big letters on the pages provided for FR2, "ANSWER ON PREVIOUS PAGE"
so then i decided to go back to it later, and started hurriedly writing FR3 and FR4. once i finished FR4, i went back to FR2 and rewrote the whole thing on the CORRECT designated pages and then put big X's on the previously written FR2 -____-;;. and i JUST BARELY finished writing the last word of FR2 when the proctor called time.

HOOOOOLYASKDHSFSAFAF. talk about most stressful testing moment EVER.
yeah so thats the story of how i cannot follow directions and thus, managed to mess up on my first AP exam. ever. hahaha.

I found the wrong area for question one also! I wonder if the graders will notice that a somewhat significant number of people did this and realize that the wording was poor, since if you read a bit too quickly and missed the word "by" you got the wrong idea. Maybe if they notice they will be a bit more lenient and give us all a couple of points.

writonthetransom, I 100% agree. Looking back, it was definitely a rookie mistake, but in the heat of the moment and all, easily confusing. Not to mention, looks like more than a few people screwed it up (although either my school is ridiculously careful and I'm the only idiot, or no one else will admit to screwing up such an easy problem).

^^

I actually think I did it correctly...weird

So wait, I don't get what you guys did wrong on it?
