AP Calc is KILLING me.... how much will this affect my college apps?

I'm a high-ranked high school junior, lettering in two varsity sports as well as sports outside of school, and I have many leadership positions within clubs and classes (yearbook, NHS, ENG). My PSAT scores will hopefully be within National Merit and I'm taking the SAT in December. I live in Florida and I'm dead-set on going to UC Berkeley, Duke, Vanderbilt, or UVA.

Problem is, I have a C in AP calc.

I've only gotten two B's before this and my GPA this year is a 4.6. Calc is bringing me down, and frankly, I just don't get it. I'm really afraid that this class will be a deciding factor on my acceptance/rejection from my dream schools. Do you think I should just drop the class all together, and stick it out and give it everything I have?

Sorry if this sounds dumb. I'm frantically writing this while watching AP Calc youtube videos online....

Omg I swear we are the same person. I’m in the exact same situation and honestly it sucks. Sending good vibes your way

Same to you! We can get through this together.

@radgreek: I can’t tell you whether or not you should drop AP Calculus, but feel free to PM me if you ever have any questions about the subject matter. I’m currently volunteering at a math tutoring center, so I have some experience in this area.

Yes, don’t be afraid to ask around for help. See if you can go to your teacher’s tutoring/office hours if he/she has them. I’m also willing to answer questions you have about any calculus-related material (I’m majoring in math and have tutored Calculus BC before) so feel free.
