Ap Calc

This school year, i will be taking Ap calc. My past math history has been poor and not very good. Unfortunatly the only math available for seniors is calc. I was wondering how do you pull off an A in this course. Iam a dilligent and hard working student; however, despite my effort my scores flop i mean if i put in 8 hours studying a spaced out 6 days before any test, i get a bout 75>. I have the teaching company dvd calc courses, are there any invaluble books that will make the poorest math student the star of the course? and what are your reflections on how the course was?

it doesn't say what type of calc besides Ap on my schedual. No BC or Ac(?)

it's probably calc AB.

I used Arco Peterson's AP calculus AB and BC because I heard it was the best. I has many practice problems, but gives you the basics in the lessons (i.e no long, boring proofs for each theorem). I didn't think it was so great, but I guess it was. I got a 5 on my AP Cal AB exam, even though I was sure I didn't pass. Petersons will give you the challenging, painful practice problems that drive you crazy but do really help you learn in the end :)
