AP Calculus AB advice needed

Hey fellow CCers,

I am going to take AP calculus AB in the coming academic year and I thought the time had come to start getting myself acquainted with some calc and just do some light work so that I am not completely clueless when school starts (mid-sept).

What guide(s) would you recommend?

Thanks a lot

I just have the Princeton Review. Don't know of any others...but it works for me. For now, review trig and advanced algebra. And that little part at the end of precalc about limits--those'll be important for understanding derivatives.

Yeah, reviewing limits would be a good idea.

before they start doing derivatives, they'll do limits, teach you the definition of derivative (make you do it the limit way), and then they'll teach you all the shortcut rules. If you already know the rules, you'll find the limit way frustrating, but you'll be able to see if your answer is correct.

I second the Princeton Review book for AP Calculus - very good book that covers pretty much everything my textbook had, though less in-depth.

Thanks people!!!
