Due to a scheduling error, I must decide whether I should take AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics together, or just take AP Calculus BC. I am applying for top universities, so I am not sure which one is better. Thank you.
AP Calc BC is harder, for sure, but in my opinion (other CC’ers, correct me if I’m wrong), most oclleges won’t care whether you’ve done AB or BC. So if you’re interested in statistics, choose AB & stat. otherwise, go with BC.
AP Calculus AB = Calculus I
AP Calculus BC = Calculus I and II
I would recommend taking BC because it covers a semester’s worth of material beyond AB, and IMO it’s better to learn statistics through a calculus-based class once you’re in college.
