AP Calculus BC Scores--List them here, and your EXPERIENCE!!

5 on bc. it was extremely easy to me - no problems whatsoever

5 BC, 4 AB subscore. O_o

I decided to write the APs after I self-studied some calculus stuff, so I’m happy. ^_^

I took this online through aventa because im a year ahead for my school and took AB last year as a junior. I got a 5 on AB last year and got a 5 for BC and the AB subscore, but I will never take an online class ever again!

i doubt it. 50+% of the test takers on get 5s on BC every year and seeing as this is college confidential which is full of highly intelligent individuals, the stats look pretty legit to me.

I was expecting a 2…I didn’t really pay attention in class all year. I’m going into social sciences and will take as little math or science in college as I can. Plus, I’m a junior, so I can always try again next year if for some reason I really want a 4 or 5. I don’t really care, I just didn’t want to take a final, so I took the exam.

I got a 5. The test was really easy, but our teacher prepared us very well. However, I did leave basically all of question 6 blank (taylor polynomial one). But I wasn’t too concerned for my score.

@nikki93 - I actually got a 4 on my AB subscore too. It doesn’t matter at all, I don’t think, but I think it’s pretty funny.

I was actually not too confident when I came out of the testing room. The multiple choice were rather easy, but I am pretty sure I only got one point on the last Free Response Question. There were also no polar questions on my test, which made me very happy.

I knew I got a 4/5, and, thankfully, I got a 5. And I got a 5 on the AB subscore.

I also got a 5. Nice vindication of my 4 on AB last year.

People keep posting something that looks like this…

@ Sel2jcl

That is the AP grade and the number of people who have earned the grade in this thread.

Oh okay thanks… That’s a pt of 5’s lol

5 on bc with 5 ab subscore

THOUGHT IT WAS SO FREAKING HARD.
IMPOSSIBLE.
NO JOKE GUYS.

the multiple choice was easy. all my friends that i took the class with agreed.
then the free response… fail.
i skipped a lot.
LOLOL
like a lot a lot a lot.

if i had to give any advice to future ap calculus exam takers, it would be to never give up. i know how cliche that sounds, but ALWAYS try to get any points on any problems. that’s a strategy i learned from my ap chem teacher that i’ve carried to all other ap exams. after the first half of the free response, i thought i’d cry because it was so flipping hard, and i felt really unprepared.
i had read before the exam on here that there was always a question on taylor polynomials, and that was something i was good at. yeah, when i got to the question on the actual exam, i was super confused, but when i came back on here to look at what other people thought, a lot of other people ended up leaving the question blank. i had solved what i could, and i think that’s the key: to do what you know and don’t doubt yourself.
looking back, i’m glad i tried my best, and i probably did way better than i thought i did (and i still don’t even think i did well enough to deserve a 5). i could’ve done better if i stopped freaking out, but it really doesn’t matter now :)

Yeah, the national average for question 6 was a 1.9. You’re not alone.

^how do you find out the national averages for question?

^I was about to ask that same question.

Oh, they’re not released. I found out from a very reputable source, whom I do not wish to reveal in case releasing the national averages is illegal in some way or another. And I know about the average only for that problem :/

Got a 5…
but definately didn’t feel great about it when I left the room.
The practice tests I had taken before clocked me at 1 point above the 5 line
so I was nervous.

But I’m happy now
Only one I really messed up was question 6
ick.
