***AP Calculus BC Thread 2015-2016***

@wongl0786 I don’t think they will as long as they know that you know what you were doing.

@wongl0786 I believe that leaving out the differential (e.g., the “dx”) in an integral loses a point for the integral setup.

Do the graders give partial credit? For the funnel question, I used the wrong equation for volume, but I did the whole process right, as I forgot to multiply by 1/3… Kind of scared…

@misterstax yes, partial credit is given, but it varies from problem to problem. If you evaluated the problem correctly, even with the wrong integral, you will still get some partial credit <50%.

when ~95% of your teacher’s students get 5s so now you prayin like there’s no tomorrow

@misterstax you didn’t need the volume formula lol… You found the area of every circle through an integral

Wasn’t it possible to solve that problem using rotational volume as well? Or did I mess it up?

@SATsRuinLife I did the same thing…now I’m freaking out

Does anyone know if collegeboard releases the free response answers with FRQs tomorrow?

@SATsRuinLife

If f is continuous on an open interval containing a, then F defined by F(x) = integral from a to x ( f(t) ) dt is continuous on the interval.

If this statement is true, the answer to your question is yes.
If it is false, the answer is no.

where did you guys find out that last year’s cutoff for 5 was at 53.33%??

My previous question was directed to @MathsAre(Not)Fun ^ and @futureaggie1 63/108 is 58.3%, kind of a big difference

@ro2400 that is so low was that really for 2015? if so i have hope

Hold on, does anyone still remember what does cal bc frq #3 say? I am pretty sure that I aced all other frqs, like #5, it is ugly but definitely doable and the rest are common materials. But on #3, I was spaced out for a minute and did not remember anything about it. Can anyone tell me, please?

YES frq has been released. let’s discuss, i must know answers so i can put my mind at ease

When will the scoring be released?

@yousefk @writerzt71 Clicking on the link leads to a 404. I don’t think the FRQs are quite ready yet… :wink:

@yeongil they loaded for me after a couple tries

@XCjunior2016 Right you are. I spoke too soon. I was able to access the FRQs by copying the URLs to another web browser.
