AP Calculus BC

Hello,

I am applying to a VERY competitive business school and I have a B+ this term in Calculus BC. My school deflates grades and the class very hard. It is my first B, and I was wondering if this would really look bad. Should I have my guidance counselor write a comment saying that very few students take this class because of difficulty at my school, it is not scaled, and the teacher moves too fast.

Im upset and unsure. Thanks

One B will not affect your chances. Do not try to explain it away.

Hi @businessg101! So this thread is actually very similar to a thread that I made a little less than a month ago. I imagine that people are going to give you more advice here, but if you are looking to get a better grade in the class, I suggest that you check out some of the responses that I have gotten from my thread regarding BC Calc. It is a tough class, and unless you want to drop it, working hard and trying to get the best grade in the class is the best you can do. Besides, a B+ is not bad for that class, trust me. One B+ will not hurt your chances.

Anyways, if you’re looking for help in improving or just need some advice to help do better, here is the link to the thread I made regarding this question: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1830368-should-i-drop-ap-bc-calc-down-to-ab-calc-junior-p1.html

Hopefully I am allowed to post links to another thread or whatever

Thanks so much!
