I am currently taking AP Chem and honors physics. Am I going to have a problem since I did not take physics earlier. How much physics, if any, am I required to know in order to do well in the AP Chem class?? We're starting to touch on some physics concepts and I'm starting to think that maybe I should have waited until AFTER I took physics to take AP Chem?????

Not much, just that electromagnetic waves stuff

we're doing the exact same thing (me and you....AP chem, hon. phys). I haven't had any problems so far. And as i recall, physics is not a prerequisite for AP chemitry. You'll be fine.

Um, relax. You don't need any physics knowledge to do well in AP chem.

yeah you really don't need to know any physics to do well in AP Chemisitry, although it might help a little bit on one or two of the chapters but thats about it..

I took physics H and Chem AP both last year and I only remember a period of like 1-2 weeks that had the same info (or info we had already learned in the other)...and it was real simple stuff

i'm just like you. in my school, you have to take chem first before taking physics so that obviously tells something about the two courses

You don't need Physics prior to taking AP Chem. It would help though.

I did the same senior year. No impact.

i'm taking AP Chem and PhysicsB next yr, is it hard to balance the two time-wise and stuff?

Depends on your school. Most likely though, it would be hard.

well at least i won't be taking them for AP tests, i don't think
it's just i wanna go into the premed route in college, so i want a good foundation
but at my school taking multiple AP sciences isn't too rare, like one of my friends is taking AP chem, physicsB, and bio lol
