My school is trying to end AP chemistry for next year do to "lack of interest" (aka, only the few top students will dare to sign up). If anyone could post their high school and the number of students who are in ap chem this year/are signed up to take it next year, it would help me try to win the continuation of this class.

When I took it, there were only 7 people in our class. This year there are 14.

We have about 20 kids including myself this year.

there are 9 people in my AP chem class...2 of which are failing.

We had only seven too. There are about ten this year.

I want to say that we have about 13?

nine people

i go to a VERY accelerated school..so almost every one takes AP Chem!

Zero - we can't afford it.

afford it?...

We only have six people in our AP Chem class. However, I think there are around 20 signed up for next year (our recruiting has paid off). The AP chem program here was also almost ended because of lack of interest, but fortunately there are enough students to still have the class next year.

When I took it there was only 8 of us, and the stuff we learned in AP Chem was so helpful for when I got to college.

I'm in AP Bio, however, I know this year there were over 20 kids in the AP Chem class (I think about 22). Some kids did drop out though, but there still are 15+.

I have 7 people who signed up for next year, but I'm supposed to get 10. I've asked just about everyone who could take it. It seems that a lot of schools have smaller AP chem classes

We had 20 sign up for it last year, but one girl switched schools, a couple kids dropped it when they saw the summer work, etc.

We ended up with 11 kids I think?

the year i took it, 45 kids took it.
normally, 20 is amazingly many

There are 9 kids in my class, and 9 in 8th hour. I'm pretty sure only a few kids are doing amazing though.

my school has about 65 kids in AP Chem I think, out of 300

afford it?...

Yeah, it takes money for a school to have AP Chem. They may create a class in the next couple years, though, but I'm self-studying it.

we have 12 students in our class out of which (i think) 7 r passing and 5 r taking the AP exam...
