Hello CC community, I just found this site quite a while ago and i have to say I love it because its so useful
Anyways, right now I’m struggling in my AP Chemistry class. Well, not just me, but a good 70% of the class. I kid you not, the highest class average for a test this year was a 74, even in the first month of school. Most of the time, the class average lingers around 60-65%. The teacher I have is quite horrible at teaching to be honest. This is not just my opinion but also the opinion of the only guy with an A in the class, who is quite the booknerd and manages to pass most tests.
Basically, I don’t have open communication with him daily for help and ,guess what, my teacher is pregnant. She seldom stays after school and may leave before the exam. I want to know some thread, forum, or video series that can possibly help me do well. Right now I’ve seen Bozeman Ap Chemistry which is useful but not enough.
Thank you for your help.
Crash Course Chemistry is great to cover the basics. Princetonreview and Barron’s are good books for AP Chem review. There’s another site that I used, I’ll see if I can find it.
Thank you, I’ll be sure to look over them. Anymore help is greatly obliged
apchemistrynmsi.wikispaces.com is a fantastic resource to get through AP Chemistry. By the way, it’s probably where your teacher gets his/her lecture notes from, and it has a bunch of practice questions that might just be similar to the ones you see on a test in AP Chem. I’d recommend watching all of the videos. Renee McCormick explains everything thoroughly.
Oh my goodness I was in the same situation, too! My chemistry teacher already left for her maternity leave and got a substitute that was luckily a major in chemistry and was a lot better teacher than her xD
I’m taking AP Chemistry right now and usually when I struggle on a topic, I go on YouTube and there are a few users that are a great help with topics that are difficult to understand. I would suggest maybe getting a Crash Course book (I don’t have one, but I heard they really help), or maybe some AP Chemistry course books that not only help for the AP test but also reviews major topics as well.
Good luck and I hope you’re doing well!
