AP classes to get into Georgetown

Im going to be a junior next year and im wondering what classes I should be taking. I know im taking APUSH, AP English, AP Stats, and AP Spanish. The only other AP class available is Bio and im wondering if I should be taking it. I have a 90 in Chem right now, but AP bio and honors chem are considered the hardest classes in my school. A 90 puts me in at least the top 10%. That being said, im worried that 5 AP classes will be to much. I play 2 sports, do speech, MUN, and World Affairs Council, so im pretty busy. Another option would be doubling up in math and taking pre calc, which isnt AP. My school is one of the best schools in my state and im in the top 10%. People from this years graduating class are going to Harvard, MIT, Brown, Yale, and other top schools. Im not entirely sure how many AP classes they took though. What should I do?

There’s no set number of AP classes to take, 4 really is plenty. You should just do what you want and enjoy your senior year, don’t take classes you won’t like.

There’s no hard-and-fast number, but the preference is for students to take the most rigorous courseload available to them. Having said that, I think taking Precalculus is really expected by competitive schools, so that sounds like a good option.

I really think you need to take Pre-calc. Then take either Calc AB or Stats senior year.

Calc BC to wrap up the high school courses would be ideal.
