Do college take the actual score you got on the AP test into consideration for admission, or is it just the grade you made in that class. (i.e. I have a 95 in AP Bio and US History, but I'm not planning on taking the AP test) Will they look down on this, or is it only important for gaining credit (which I don't want to do)

it's just the grade, unless you apply to like an ivy. but you should just take the ap test, b/c i don't see why you wouldn't want the challenge, and you might turn out wanting the credit after all.

yeah and if you get the credit, you can either take less classes in your freshman year to ease the adjusting process, or take classes that arent your major but interest you

It also gives another dimension to the class. Some teachers are easier than others, the AP test tends to show if this is the case. Also, it shows that you are determined and willing to try even if you might fail. I would think it looks better to get a 2 then to not take it at all.

yeah, unless you are a senior who already got into college and you don't want credit, take the AP exam. It is really useful to be able to say I got "a 5 on xyz exams" rather than "yeah, I got an A."

You would not believe how lax some teachers in AP classes are, while some teachers are super strict.

yes it looks liek you guys talked me into it: i'll be studying all winter break because my current ap teachers have taught me nothing yet this year and im pulling a 96 in bio and a 99 in us history
