AP classes

So I can't really decide which of the following is appropriate to take for my classes for the next two years.

I really love band but I'll definitely quit after this year, but I love it so it urges me to continue just one more year but that would mean one less AP. Good or bad? Which choice should I take? I am really interested in Medicine. Are 11 APs. good enough or do I need more to get into a great college?

Choice 1:
next year: AP Euro, APLanguage and Communication, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Spanish, Band, Pre-Calc/Trig.

next next year: AP Government, AP literature, AP Physics , AP calculus AB, AP Psychology, and Spanish V,Oral Communications/Forensics

or

Choice 2:

next year: AP Euro, Ap Language and Compostition, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP Spanish, Pre-Calc/Trig.

next next year: AP Government, AP Literature, AP physics, AP Calculus AB, Spanish V, AP Statistics, Oral communications/ Forensics

^^^ IF you really love band I'd stay in it. College's care not just about a student's "how many AP's can I fit into my schedule" mentality, but their passions. I only had 7 AP's on my transcript but have still gotten likely letters from Cornell and Dartmouth. And have happily been in band for 4 years. Follow your passions :)

Thanks Spunaugle! It's just that I do love band but I am not going to be in it after next year anyways, even if I do take it. Medicine is more of my passion and although taking band is something I really enjoy, Music is something I wouldn't pursure for my future.
