What do you think about these courses? Are they useful and relevant for a major in Int'l Relations?

Definitely. I think Comp Gov't is more useful, though.

What about US Gov't? I mean I am not planning on working for the US gov't or anything (mainly because I am not american :p), but would it help?

If you plan to go to college in the US, taking US Gov wouldn't be a bad idea.

I agree with bananaman. You don't want to come to the US and find the governmental system to be completely alien. Also, the two gov't exams are linked. Although you learn about many different types of government, they have some similarities. They are both considered to be easy exams, so you might want to consider taking both.

I also have to warn you that most colleges do not award advanced credit for the gov't exams, especially the comp. gov't test.

Yeah I know that many colleges do not award credit (neither do most for the Italian exam), but it still looks good on your transcript, and for example Tufts, which I am very interested in, does award credit for the Gov't exams (although they don't for the second Gov't exam you take).
Since my school doesn't offer either of those exams, I was planning on taking a study block to study Comp. Gov't (around 220-240 minutes a week), but if you say it's easy, could I just add the US Gov't to my "schedule" and study both in the same study block?

P.S: I am gonna end my senior year with like 12 AP's, no one in my school's ever done something like that :o

Yup, it can definitely be done. Start studying now, and you will be fine for the exam. Also, the FRQs are pretty similar from year to year for comp. gov't. Good luck!

Now? I have to study for my AP World and Euro now for my exam in May lol. I was planning on taking the Gov't courses in senior year.

Oohh, I thought we were talking about this year. Nevermind then :P

I think I will take both Gov't exams, and not take US History (which I wasn't even sure I wanted to take). I talked to my AP Euro and AP World teacher and he said that I should only take one AP US course, either the History or the Gov't, so I chose Gov't.
Just out of curiosity, in what kind of major or career might Human Geography be useful?

comparative government in my school is the hardest AP we have and it's full year.

Weellll, I guess Human Geo. could be useful for int'l relations, but it definitely isn't necessary. I can't really think of a job it would be useful for.

Oh, I just thought of something. I'm in Toronto, Canada, and the government has a whole comittee that works on planning how and where to expand the city and build more roads and schools in function to the growing population. Human geo could be useful for this. That's really all I can think of...
