Has anyone gotten hold of a released exam? Anyone have any tips or insights they'd like to share with the group? I'm taking the exam monday and trying to get into hardcore study mode.

I self-studied last year. The Ethel Wood book is supposedly wonderful. I didn't have time to read much of it, but the little bit I read helped a lot.

I have the '99 MC, but not on my computer...& no scanner. Hmm.

I just watch the news

I'm about 5 pages from finishing Ethel Woods' book. Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be taking the sample exams in the back. I'm pretty confident about a 5.

bump 10 char

I've just read lots of different books about each countries political history so I can take the test self studying. This weekend, I'm just reviewing all of the important definitions for the test.

Important question: When answering the Free Response questions, is it ok to give simple 2-3 sentence definitions/examples? Because the Ethel Woods' book doesn't mention how to format essays etc.

Anyone know what the curve is like?

Usually a 55/60 on the MC test will still get you a 5.

The lowest possible for a 5 on the Gov test will
probably be at 45ish, as in 2002 that was the curve
cutoff for the test (that was a HEINOUS year).

mid-high 30s if you want to pass.

You're talking about the US Gov test. The Comparative one has 45 MC questions.

Does anyone have a copy of the audit? I have the US gov audit and the english lit audit and will trade for compgov

No, it has 55 cquestions that you have to do in 45 minutes.

Yeah, you're right. I got the two mixed up.

Either way, does anyone know the curve?

bump I need this answered!

yes. just thoroughly answer the question. even if you do add a little extra or an example since they won't mark off points for that. i wouldn't answer it in 2 sentence though. i think a more complete answer is maybe 3-5? depending on the question.

but yeah, it's not an essay. just a short paragraph response.

Ok thanks man =D
