AP Comp. Sci. woes...

Hello CC. Enjoying your summer studying your butts off?
So, I am taking a college semester (online) of Computer Science.
The problem is, my dad is a professional computer engineer, and he basically helps me out with everything. Which is why I am so thankful that the class is online. he can sit next to me while i take the tests :( cheating sucks! I may sound stuck-up or arrogant here, but I absolutely suck at JAVA. Well, it's my fault because I don't read the book (Java Programing by D.S. Malik)

So my problem is that my dad wants me to take the exam this year. he already bought the AP COMP. SCI barron's prep book. Problem is, I have a highly intensive school course this year, (6 APs at school already, 2 varsity sports, president of student body) and I don't think I want to self-study it.

I've heard the exam is very easy. But my school doesn't offer it.
I've heard that taking a class is much easier then self-studying.
Another school nearby offers AP Computer Science. Should I take it there?
^ (i forgot...the problem is my schedule is full, and I could not take a class outside of my school anyways...FML)

I just don't have any drive for the class...yet. It sounds interesting but right now I'm at the stage where I'm like "uh...how do you write a while loop again", and so on.

I'm in AP calc BC. i have taken some Ap exams already. So i know what to expect.

Should i really self-study? Trust me, I'm not getting anything out of this online class.
Or should I wait until next year? any help would be greatly appreciated.
