I have no room for AP Comp Sci next year. I was wondering if it was easy to study online. I've heard it's confusing without a teacher. I want to major in Comp Science.

I haven’t taken AP Computer Science yet (will next year), but I heard that it wasn’t too bad. Although, that was from people that had a teacher. If it’s something you have a slight background in, or are confident you’d be able to understand, you should take it online. Maybe you could learn a bit of Java to see how it feels to you.

Thanks @awakeningvenus hopefully it isn’t too bad.

It’s not too bad. (I’m taking it online now). I think a lot of it depends on whether or not you go into the course with any object-oriented programming under your belt. While the class is structured to allow kids with no programming experience to learn, it is much more difficult.

where are you taking it online?

@tomatox1 virtual virginia

^ okay I definitely read that wrong the first time.

As long as you use a review book such as barron’s to accompany it and you have the type of mindset to program efficiently, you should be fine without a teacher.
