I'm only a freshman, but I've been thinking of my sophomore schedule lately. My school offers two AP classes for sophomores: European History and Comparative Government. Comparative Gov is only a semester class and it's Independent Study, while European History is an actual year-long class. I know I definitely can't handle taking both, so what do you think? Which test is easier?

IMO Comp Gov is a much more rewarding class but it is usually taken by upperclassmen. Your performance on the tests depend on what kind of student you are-APEH may be easier if you favor memorization (history) over political science. On the other hand, Comp Gov is a semester course so the workload will be much easier than APEH (and a lot less reading…)

I’m taking Comp Gov… year long. If we ever start learning about the governments I’ll like it.

But if my school had AP Euro I’d take that instead.

AP Euro is 20x harder than comp gov.
Most people self study comp gov because its very easy.
APEH is much more rewarding IMO.
-AP European History Student Bias

I think I’ll take AP Comp Gov. Thanks everyone!
