AP Computer Sci, Bio, Stats, Calc suggestion

Hey,

I'm taking AP BIo and AP Stats class next year. Along with the class, what prep books would you guys suggest me to buy?

I want to self study AP Computer Science A and AP Calc AB next year as well.
What kind of prep books would be good enough to get a 5?
I know most of precalc already, but due to our school's curriculum I can't skip math, and we don't offer Computer science.

Please, I need some suggestions on books.

Thanks

for comp sci use barron's and you will be guaranteed a 5 except the practice tests aren't really that relevant, for comp sci A the easier questions in Barron's are more relevant

oh, by the way, for Calc AB I already got Petersons and PR, so I just need suggestions on other subjects.

So from what I heard:
Bio: Cliff
Stats?
Computer Sci: Barrons

By the way, if my native language is CHinese (international student) would it be worth it taking AP Chinese?

it's totally fine. the only problem is if you do poorly- you would have to explain that to colleges i would think.

I was wondering if it would affect

Seems to me like if I get a 5 there's no plus but if I get a 4 there's a minous ><

4 isn't as terrible as you think. it does qualify for credit for many colleges, and i know a couple of natives in languages that have gotten 4s in their respective ap exams (me being one of them -.-) it's a matter of if you get like a 1 or 2, maybe a 3 if it's a really high-end college.

but I feel that if a 5 does no good, and the fact the AP exams are extremely expensive, there seems to be no point for me to take that exam.

bump

any more advice especially on computer science?
and whether taking AP Chinese is worth it?

Computer science is just understanding the concepts and knowing how to think like a computer (for comp sci A, anyway). The questions are basically what will be end result of this (block of code). and the free response questions aren't hard though most people find the Marine Biology Study really hard and confusing.

Also, I had a bad teacher (he couldn't help the AB students because he didn't know the matter), I hated the subject, as in, I would dread going to that class every other day! I only took it because my dad made me. I did just enough to guarantee me a 4, a 5 if the curve was really nice. And guess what I got? A 4

I also recommend the Princeton Review one for Calc. Great explanations. Then again, my teacher was awesome, hehe. I got a 4 on the BC exam, with a 5 AB subscore. Good luck!!

I've been thinking after I bought the prep book (stil doesn't know which one, Barrons I hears is not bad) that if AB seems doable I may do AB instead.
Well, which prep books is enough for getting a 5?

oh, my previous post was about computer science.

Well, so for Bio, Stats, Computer sci, which prep books???
Bio (Cliffs???Barrons????)
Stats ???
Computer sci (Barrons????)

Besides, is taking AP Chinese worth my money and time since I come from a Chinese speaking country?

according to some other posts, a guy claimed to get a 5 purely by using Barrons for AP Stats

so

Bio: Cliffs or Barrons??? (don't really have enough money for both)
Stats: Barrons?
Computer sci: Barrons?

Anyone think PR is good for these subjects?
I used PR for self study AP Chem and got a 5 :)

use Barron's you'll get a 5 in comp sci
