My teacher has been giving us a ton of practice (MCs and FRQs) but hasn’t handed any of them back, so I have no idea how prepared I actually am. Does anyone have any suggestions on a review book I could use that would prepare me within a month?
@ellipticmodulo Litvin’s is the most concise review book. Barron’s is good, but it has a lot of excess material. Is that a common theme with all of their books? Lol. I have both and I find Litvin’s easier to understand and more manageable for someone wanting to study in small chunks. Barron’s MC’s are really tricky though. The point of the questions are to help you be aware of common mistakes, not to get them right the first time. Use Barron’s only if you REALLY don’t understand a concept.

Final deadline for schools in the United States, U.S. territories, and Canada to order AP Exams. No orders will be accepted after this date. Orders placed by April 15 will be delivered by April 25.
I got a quick question, I find the Barrons practice tests to be pretty difficult. With less than a month before the exam, I want to know whether the Barrons practice test is accurate in terms of difficulty to the real thing?
@Batmoose My problem with Barron’s is that their multiple choice questions don’t really represent the ones on the AP exam. Litvin’s is closer, but its problems are a little bit harder than what we’ll actually see. At this point, I’d start taking actual exams from previous years to get a feel for the test. The exam is way easier than what the prep books give you!
The only ones out are the 2008 and 2009
My teacher has access to all the past multiple choice tests like 2015,14,13,12 all apcs teachers have it. Tomorrow we will be taking a practice exam in the class. We have 3 hours of class tomorrow thats why
And AP exams that are made available to teachers are not made available to students. If an individual teacher wants to give them out, that’s on him/her. But it is a violation of copyright law, so don’t ask for them here.
@trynagetthere CB says they should be equal in difficulty.
Does anyone know a safe MC score goal for a 5? I keep getting around a 30/40 and that doesn’t give me a lot of room to mess up on the FRQs. I usually make 3 or 4 points below the cutoff score (out of 80) for a 5. Any tips for bumping my MC score up a few questions?
@Hamlon same here, I keep getting around 30 on the Multiple choice, and there’s always a few things I miss in the FRQs. I average around 55 right now, one more practice test to go.
@Batmoose What practice tests are you using? My teacher is only giving our class Barron’s and the 2015 released exam. The catch is that we can’t take the released exam home to study with because my teacher is worried we’re going to post everything on the internet. I low-key wished they kept Grid World, so I could take the past released exams and still accurately know where I am score-wise instead of having to skip the 10 Grid World questions.
