AP Computer Science Review Book

What book did you guys use to review for AP Computer Science? I am taking the AP Computer Science A exam, but I will be self-studying a lot of it due to a bad teacher. What book is really thorough and easy to understand. Aiming for at least a 4.

I used Be Prepared for the AP Computer Science Exam in Java by Maria Litvin
I loved it so much, being such a CS dork, I went through the whole book twice :P

at my school it's usually, regular CS, AP CS A, then AP CS AB
but with a pretty good teacher & TA, and Litvin's book, I was able to get a 5 on CS AB in my first year of CS

there were a lot of similar questions on the AP test as the ones in the book.
like the book had something about making thesaurus and the AP had a question about making a dictionary? or the other way around

but on Amazon, it seems like Barron's AP Computer Science and 5 Steps to a 5 are the highest ranked of the CS prep books?

5 Steps to a 5 isn't so great. If you want to prepare, get Litvin's book or Barron's.

get Barron's, the practice tests are good, even though the actual text itself is mediocre; I got a 4 on the AP Exam -> coming from a person who thought she was going to get a 1 at the beginning of the year

Why is the actual text mediocre? ^^

I would defintely recommend Barrons and 5 Steps to a 5. Use them together

Absolute C++ by Savitch is a good book if you're interested in learning about C++.
