So yeah, I’d like to take two easy AP classes over the break in order to boost my GPA a bit and just get something done. I think that I’ll take AP Psych, but I’m not sure what other class I should take. I’ve heard that Environmental Science is easy but that the class itself is time-consuming since it encompasses a multitude of “hands on” assignments. Projects and long assignments like that really hinder my progress, so I’d like to take a class that’s straightforward and not too intense. I’m thinking of Econ and Gov, but I’m also interested in Comp Sci (although I have no idea how much work it involves). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I’m just gonna say, there’s almost no chance that you’ll finish two AP classes over the summer. It’s possible, but it will literally be like a full time job. I just suggest taking one. If you take two, plan on not finishing until at least Decemberish (considering you’ll have school). But one should be manageable.
This year I took AP Environmental Science through FLVS. I took it during the normal school year. I’d say that I spent about 150 hours on the class throughout the year, plus extra studying for the exam. The class was not too hard, and I thought the subject was very interesting. Also, I felt very very prepared for the exam.
