AP Credit!!!

So I took the AP Calc AB test and I received a 4. I am able to to get credit for both Calc I and Calc II. Would I be fine taking Multivariate Calc in the fall or should I take Calc II first?

If you received credits for Calc II (or MATH122 in Drexel’s term) already, why would you take that class?
Depending on your major, you might be placed into a specific sequence. For example, engineering students who received credits for MATH121 and MATH122 are asked to take linear algebra and differential equations first, before they take multivariable calculus in the third term. Such was my case.
But if that does not apply to you, you are welcome to take MATH200, or multivariable calculus at anytime you prefer. Since new students cannot register for classes themselves prior to the beginning of the first term, you will probably have difficulty coordinating other classes on your schedule, considering the fact that MATH200 occupies four days of a week.
If you are indeed interested in taking MATH200, however, contact your academic advisor and discuss the matter will never hurt.

Are you in a combined program? Usually they only accept 5s…strange. The calc sequence at Drexel isn’t hard though if you’ve had calculus before. If you remember a decent amount then you should be able to skip to a higher level class without any problems.
