AP Credit

I emailed Carolina and they said there is no limit for AP credit, so I will probably have enough credits to be considered a sophomore. Would this be agood idea or not?

It all depends on what you want your college experience to be like. If you would prefer to graduate in three years and enter grad school or the working world when you are 21 (I'm assuming you're 18 now), then this would be a great idea. You would be making money (or starting your work towards getting a graduate degree) while others your age would still be poor college students. But if you feel like you need all four years of the undergrad experience to fully appreciate UNC, then maybe you should just take it easy the first year (only take like 8 hours).

I am actually in the same situation, and, regardless of where I end up, I will probably elect to graduate in three years, since I will have 9 AP classes/exams.

Thanks for the input.... I hope to graduate in three years and get a "jump-start" on grad school

As gchris says, it depends on what you want out of college. I came in (different school) with 13 AP & IB credits, so I have more flexibility in my schedule than I know what to do with. I'm taking advantage of it and planning on studying abroad for a year; some people add a second major or two. Grad school is so narrowly focused that I'd rather take random interesting classes while I can. You only get to go through college once! :)

Wow, 13 APs..that's a lot.

Wow is right
