AP Credit

I was wondering if anyone knew if theres a difference between the AP scores accepted for LA and the ones accepted for engineering?
I'm basically debating which exams to show up for this week...

I was wondering the same.

I found this:

<a href="http://ase.tufts.edu/undergradEducation/documents/updated%20AP%20new%20format.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://ase.tufts.edu/undergradEducation/documents/updated%20AP%20new%20format.pdf</a></p>

If I got a 4 or a 5 on Statistics AP exam... it would be:

One acceleration credit, which may be counted as Liberal Arts mathematics distribution credit.

From the looks of it, it counts for only the Liberal Arts college :/

But this is just a guess, so don't take my word for it.

what is an acceleration credit???

You don't need to take the introductory classes...?

I think Tufts sent us a small packet with information on AP credits. Check that!

Even if you're an engineer, APs like English can get you out of a writing requirement, exams like Gov can get you out of a social sciences requirement, Modern European History can get you out of a humanities requirement, etc. Engineers do have a couple of liberal arts requirements they need to fill, so if you want to avoid those, take the APs - if you want to take some LA classes while at Tufts, you could potentially skip out on them. But in general APs also help you with the overall credit requirement.

Your advisor will tell you when you get to Tufts. Don't worry too much.
