AP ECON, AP EURO

Alright, so just as background, my school got rid of AP courses a while ago and instead replaced them with "Advanced Topics" classes instead. So as juniors we can take AT US, and as seniors we get to choose from AT Western (AP Euro), AT Macroeconomics, etc.

Last year I put Econ as my first choice and Western (Euro) as my second, though it was a hard choice for me. But, I just found out that my favorite teacher from last year (US history) is teaching both classes of Western this year. One thing is, he is a hard grader, and I'm almost positive I'd do better in Econ (I'm more of a math/science student anyway). I like history a lot, though, and I loved his class. Also, he's writing one of my letters of rec, and although he was happy to write one for me when I asked, I'm thinking I might be able to leave a more lasting impression on him if I have him again this year. Should I switch before school starts or just stay with Econ?
