weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...........

I pretty sure for a 6/9 on the essay, you just need to have ananalyses of the of rhetorical devices in the passage and if you directly use what was given you have nothing to fear.

for rhetorical devices, i only mentioned them directly for #2..
in other ones, i just quoted the text and gave outside examples, and talked about my point..

will that hurt my grade?

I was sort of wondering this, too. I didn't use terms on the first question, I just analyzed.

any opinions??

did i fail the exam?

I like yours, but I wrote about different things.

For the first one, I said Americans love to show off, and that pink flamingos were symbols of status and power.

For Hazlitt, I said that money was nessecery for happiness. I mentioned the long sentence, parallel structure and diction

For the third one, IO gave two examples of when free speech was good (Bono and FDR) and two of when it was bad (McCarthy and Hitler)

What do you think?

Yours are good.. Mine arent that good

decent?? or crap??

do you think ill get at least 6/9s on these essays??

are the essays graded liberally?

I think you will. Fret not.

i think i wont.. first of all, i didnt talk about literary devices in #1.. just explained what the author was trying to say..

and my conclusions werent very good..

and some parts of my essays look sloppy

No, don't worry so much.
