The AP English Language and Composition Test is tomorrow. I am pretty okay on the synthesis and rhetorical essay but have trouble thinking of examples for the persuasive essay. Usually, you can use the few prominent examples for almost everything.

I know..
MLK
Gandhi
Rosa Parks
1984
........... yeah...........

so I was wondering what other great examples there are that can be used for the persuasive essay. Thanks.

I hear the graders dislike extended metaphors because there isn't enough time to make them persuasive enough, water-tight enough.
I usually stick to more prosaic arguments... but that's me.

i am taking the exam and i dont really have preset things i just use whatever comes to me at the time... but i have to say Enders Game... great book :)

I think this is the only ap test i'm not dead worried about studying.
i either know it or i don't, no point studying...
...are any of you studying besides going over the rhetorical strategies?

my fingers were about to break on my third essay. good luck with timing cause you have less time than you think you do. by the way.. i didnt use any of those examples i listed above. :/

exam was surprisingly good..i did form b
MC was a bit dodgy as usual, not too worried about it though...essays were DELICIOUS, i flew right through them!

okay, probably the worst testing experience ever.

As I start my test, in a room filled with almost 70 people, someone throws up all over their test, and makes a loud echoing noise. It was super gross, and their was a massive uproar, and in turn i lost my concentration. Everyone was laughing making jokes, including the proctor, it smelled bad as well. 10 minutes later a janitor comes in while we are taking the test to clean up the mess. Only he is super loud as he keeps throwing water on the ground.

So yea, i dont think i did everywhere, lost all my concentration from the beginning
