so there are 3 essays to write, one is persuasion, one is rhetorical analysis, and one is synthesis...whats the differenece between persuasion and synthesis? arent they essentially both persuasion essays?

synthesis can either be persuasive or explainative (i think i just made that word up). synthesis also has documents, and you HAVE to source the right number or you fail. and do it right. for instance "bla blah" (doc a).

Yes, but synthesis gives you about 6 brief sources to use (using at least 3 of them is mandatory to score 6 or higher.) Persuasion just gives you a 1-2 sentence prompt and asks you to use your own real-world examples - SAT-style.

Heh, I'm probably the only one on CC who excels at rhetorical analysis....but STINKS on persuasion. Just because I can rarely think of any good examples. Darned weak history background XD....(the only history I ever learned was 6th grade, where we touched upon each ancient civilization, and last year's Humanities, which was more art history than anything else....aww man >.O heh.)
