I thought bless his heart was a sentimental aside

There was one question about the frog that irked me. Did the frog “seamlessly blend into his environment” or “longed to break free from monotony”?

Police was not mentioned. I went over the passage three times

I put “ironic interjection” because in the South, you can say whatever mean things you want to say about a person so long as you say “Bless his heart” at the end. Probably a bad interpretation… :D

Blend into environment.
@hm
My grandma says that all the time!

@hm29168 I also put “ironic interjection”. It seemed to me like a scathing remark.

@Syndekit Ugh, I am so angry at myself for thinking the frog wanted to escape monotony. Blending into environment makes more sense.

I put sentimental aside, now thinking about it.

Dang! It was referring to “his old friends.” The lack of Oxford commas threw me off!!!

I don’t remember that question about the frog but he didn’t long to break free.

The persona in the Marius passage seems like an ass; he was never friendly or sentimental.

Don’t know the exact frog question, but it was something to do with the slimy air and his slimy skin

Ironic interjection does seem right now. Dang, it seems I missed at least 3 on that passage.

Did anybody know what “Tercet” actually was, or did you guess? I guessed and got it right.

I probably put that, but I definitely put an answer down that the frog was unattractive too.

^ Yes, I put that too. Unattractive and lonely.

Tercet is like something with three lines?

And I thought the persona was neutral… He criticized things but said other things ( the reborn artist) was wonderful and all that

What was the question with tercet? I think I remember putting it down as an answer. And a tercet is a 3 line sequence.

Tercet was three lines and lonely and unattractive was correct.

I found the Marius the painter excerpt
what xD
