i overall thought this test was WAY TOO EASY for my taste. like, i went through each question and FR and was thinking, ‘this can’t be it, this is just too…easy!’ i finished the MC fifteen minutes in advance and the essays twenty minutes. the ONLY difficulty was the whale passage. that was annoying, I liked it, but I didn’t know if they were talking about anything deeper or just about a whale. there were no scansion or roman numerals, which made it a lot easier.

For the last FR, would it be okay to use the Glass Menagerie for exile? I thought it would be cool because they were all exiled from themselves and the real world in different ways but were forced to confront their exile and fears within their own HOME, which was what the quote/discussion of the prompt talked about. I also considered Crime and Punishment (99% of my class did it) but I couldn’t get all the names right.

The woman/curls one: I put elusive and dangerous. She’s attractive, but the curls are fake and deceptive. So they elude the person and are dangerous.

The Race: she never felt resentment for anything. She felt anxiousness, and desperation, but she never felt resentment for her father. So yeah, it’s resentment.

Thine: I think it was the beloved’s life…I dont’ remember exactly, but I think i put that.

Whale: I put that it was a ghost of guilt consciousness on the MARINERS. that’s the key phrase for my choice. They also had one about the same thing except for WHALERS, but we didn’t know if they were whalers or not, so i put mariners.

kaekae: that was one of the three i was unsure about. I put peace, because when she realized that she had come in time, and he was still breathing, she was at peace? I didn’t see a connection between life and her journey except for the fact that her father was still alive by the time she got there. IDK.

^Oy, I hated that passage. I had to read it once before in class, thank goodness, else I am not sure I would have known what on earth the speaker was talking about it. Though the reading passages were fairly simple, they were not stimulating, in my honest opinion.

I’m surprised more people didn’t write about Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead from my school since it was the only book on the list we all read and it related to the topic (obviously, that’s why it was on the list). A lot of them did One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Huh. I’ll be satisfied with a 3…ecstatic if I managed to scrape a 4. But I got a 4 on Lang & Comp last year so I guess that’s enough English. I don’t even know if my college accepts it. =P

I swear I’ve taken over 6 AP tests and I have this paranoia with pattern. They’ve come up in all the AP test. I found the one in the AP Lit test quite peculiar. Anyone else notice these type of things, or am I the only crazy mind in here…LOL

has anyone heard about the controversy over the ap lit 3rd question?
facebook group is: protest the 2010 AP English Literature and Composition free response question…

protest the 2010 AP English Literature and Composition free response question Facebook group is just ****ed they couldn’t answer the question XD It was simple.

Somehow I got a 3 on this test. It was extremely easy. I’m right out of high school and I shouldn’t care but I really think it was misgraded. Is there a way to have them regrade my essays?

Lol i remember flipping out cuz everyone on cc had written two or more pages, and i’d only written 1 and a half for each essay. But I got a five anyways
