AP English Literature & Composition Thread

Crap… I haven’t picked a novel/literary work to use for the 3rd essay. I’m screwed. =X

I’m doing it on Brave New World, Crime and Punishment, Lord of the Flies, or Power of One.

I’m going to use The Scarlet Letter, The Awakening, or Hamlet.

JUST TOOK MY EXAM, I’m pretty sure I can get a 4, as long as I didn’t majorly screw up on the MC… I thought this year was pretty easy compared to all the practice tests I took…

Anyway, GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL! (:

^ I hope I get the same one as you… I’m praying it’ll be an easy one but with my luck it probably won’t be >_<

Are there two different versions for Lit.?

^ Yeah, regular one and Form B in order to “maintain security” according to the CB

I thought international students take their APs after us. I guess I was mistaken.

<—getting a one. Be back in 4 hours lol

Haha nope, China’s one day ahead of US, so yeah, we take all our exams first :(

Good luck everyone!! And hopefully to me too :(

Good luck everyone… hope all goes well. I’m taking mine in a couple of hours… D:

This exam was a lot easier than I expected. MCQs were definitely not difficult, and essays weren’t bad either, though I’m pretty sure I screwed up essay #2. Hopefully my much stronger essays #1 and #3 will help me and put me in the score range to get a 4.

^ Haha yeah, I wasn’t really sure what to write about for #2, I thought the question was kinda odd… (I think we’re talking about the same test XD)

This will be the ultimate test of my bsing skills. Good luck to the west coast people~

LOL well we’re both internationals and only 5 hours apart (you being ahead) so I would think chances are we took the same test haha. I didn’t find #2’s question odd per se, I just had a hard time writing something decent as an answer. #1 was easy though (perhaps too easy), and I like my essay for #3 though I had to rush the final paragraph and my quality of writing dropped significantly. I finished when there was literally 15 seconds left, lol.

^ Yeah, the first was definitely the easiest, the third one I struggled a bit because the books I was counting on didn’t really involve the concept… I manipulated the question a bit but it was still in keeping with the definition, so hopefully it’ll turn out okay ^^
What book did you use for the 3rd question? (I think I’m allowed to ask this… it’s not related to the actual question, right? haha)

MC were easier than I expected. Didnt finish though. Friggen drilling outside and the school announcements were going, ended up missing 4

Thought it was pretty easy. I’m hoping for at least a 4.

I just took it. The third one was the harest for me since I don’t read novels.

Side note: why is everyone talking about "BS"ing essays? I tend to outline my essay and put at least a modicum of thought in each sentence to make sure that my essay is fluid and cohesive. BSing is really for history essays, not english essays.
