I'm currently studying 2 APs ( all science ones), but I want to take another self-study AP exam at the end of the year. I heard that AP Psy is very easy and a popular choice for those who want to self study, plus I have regular Psy next semester, so I guess it wil help a little bit. However, I am very interested in AP English Language and Composition, but I don't know whether I can handle it - the 3 essay sections must require a lot of practice. On the other hand, I wil take SAT II USH on May so I'm not sure I can remember a lot of terms for both AP Psy and SAT II USH at the same time ( it's gonna be a lot to memorize). Please give me some advice ! I'm really confused.

I am getting an A in English and a C+ in AP psychology. Even though it is reputated to be the easiest exam

It’s just a grade not the final AP exam result. I’m talking about self-study those APs… it’s all about test-taking strategies I guess…

I never studied for English Composition - no practice tests, prompts, nothing. My teacher was a hippie and never taught to the test (or taught period…) I went into the test knowing nothing and got a 4 easily. I assume if you prepared at all getting a 5 would be easy. If you’re okay at writing, it’s no trouble. However, some kids who were really into English got bad scores and some who hated English got good scores, so it seems a bit variable.

Psych is easy to study for and is basically a vocabulary test. I actually prepared for it and got a 5. It’s shorter than most AP tests and very chill. However, colleges tend to take English more seriously from what I hear, so that might be the way to go.

btw I got a 5 on USH and took it at the same time as psych and english. A lot of psych is common sense and it’s really fascinating, so it’s easy to remember. USH is chronological and all the general trends fit well together, so it’s also easier than other histories such as Euro imo. You can definitely do all three at once, but if you’re self-studying English and are a good writer, it’s a breeze.
