AP English to Regular English?

I’m currently a junior in AP English Language. In my freshman and sophomore years, I took advanced English. However for next year, I’m considering taking a regular English class rather than AP English Literature because of an already heavy course load for next year.

How will this reflect on my transcript, going from advanced English classes to a regular one? Should I just go into AP Lit?

It’s fine, as long as it looks rigorous, such as senior seminars in World Literature, Philosophy, Ancient Literature, or Poetry for instance.

I imagine as long as the course schedule stays challenging, colleges won’t notice 1 AP going missing.

Don’t worry about it. There are so many things that go into a college application, and 1 AP class will certainly not make or break your chances.
